As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, Structural Associates (SA) is a leader in the application of green building techniques, including sustainable building and alternative energy technologies. We adhere to construction practices that benefit the environment and provide healthier living spaces for our Clients. In each custom home, we work to identify green building strategies that meet the design goals of the project as well as provide value to our Clients. Additionally, we offer comprehensive demolition services that maximize material salvage, and recycling through local donations and reuse of materials.

Our Glenwood Springs office facility includes a solar photovoltaic system that was designed to maximize our usable roof area, as well as provide a minimum of 75% of our energy demand, including a 2400 sf office and a 5400 sf storage/mill shop. Our team has also developed a “Green 100″ project, where we have collectively identified 100 ideas to improve the sustainability and efficiency of our business. These items fall within a wide range of cost and complexity, and drive us to achieve environmental responsibility, energy independence, and organizational efficiency within the company.
