Structural Associates Company is proud to say that our team of general contractors, commercial building contractors, and custom builders has partnered with Poss Architecture + Planning to build a unique, one-of-a-kind doghouse for the “Aspen Dog”. This dog house will be auctioned for the benefit of the Aspen Buddy Program. The houses will be auctioned off during the silent auction, which takes place from 6-8 pm on July 9th at Boogie’s Merry-Go-Round-Ranch for The Bash for the Buddies Event.
The winning house will be the one with the highest winning bid.
The Buddy Program:
The mission for The Buddy Program is to empower youth through mentoring experiences in order to achieve their full potential.
For over 40 years, the Buddy Program has been serving youth in the Roaring Fork Valley community. The Buddy Program runs five programs throughout the valley, including one-on-one mentoring, group/experiential mentoring, and financial literacy education.
In addition to providing mentoring services to youth, the Buddy Program staff provides over 200 hours of case management to our Little Buddies and their families each year.
The Design:
Casual Sophistication
This new property is a unique opportunity to the Roaring Fork Valley that has to be seen to be appreciated. This project marries natural steel, refined mahogany, and reclaimed white oak with an as-is patina in a contemporary design, while maintaining a casual presence. Removable metal trays with a natural black patina create living walls and a living roof, utilizing a mix of sedums, groundcovers, and edible plants. A removable sleigh bed, crafted from steel, and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Mahogany is on casters for both ease of cleaning, as well as creating a lounge that can be used separately from the primary enclosure when your most important family member wants to be out in the warm sunshine.
